The road to Hana is a “must-do” with Cruisin Maui! The road to Hana has over 619 curves and 54 historical one lane bridges. The road is quite narrow and at times, very exciting as you are traveling along the dramatic sea cliffs. Leave the driving to the professionals so you can bask in the breathtaking views of waterfalls, the lush vegetation of the rainforest and numerous stops along the way.
Your tour guide will share Hawaiian history and stories passed down from generations. Waterfalls are usually abundant and light rain can be expected throughout areas of the rainforest. Some of the highlights you will experience on your Island tour are Waianapanapa state park (pre-reserved tickets now required and included with your tour) where you can explore the lava tubes, peninsulas, and light hike along the sea cliffs.
Visit Hana Bay and try Sandy’s banana bread for a yummy treat. You can learn about husking a coconut. We will say, they make it look so easy. Let us know what you think! You will get to see Ho’okipa, a popular surfing area and home of many green sea turtles. They commonly come up to the sand to bask in the sun so you can easily observe and take photos. You will also spend some time at Pua’a Ka'a state park. The waterfall creates an amazing backdrop for your photo! We recommend getting in the water quickly as the chill of the waterfall can be a little surprising.
